The inaugural Scottish Defence Procurement and Supply Chain Summit brought together defence prime contractors, MOD representatives, SMEs, government and academia for a day of discussion, networking and collaboration focused on the future of Scotland’s defence sector. Held in Glasgow, the Summit explored Scotland’s growing role within UK defence and highlighted the nation’s strengths across shipbuilding, advanced manufacturing, digital capability, space and skills development. Across the conference programme, speakers and panellists examined key themes including capability, resilience, competitiveness, sovereignty, supply chain visibility and workforce development, while also recognising the wider economic opportunities being created across the sector.
